About this artwork

Aldersbach's former Cistercian abbey church of Mariä Himmelfahrt is modest outside — a white Baroque church in flat Rottal farmland — while its interior, decorated by the Asam brothers Cosmas Damian and Egid Quirin, ranks among the most beautiful Baroque church interiors in Lower Bavaria. The abbey, secularised in 1803, forms an ensemble with its working brewery, first mentioned in 1268 when the Cistercian monks brewed for their own use and still brewing today under the Freiherr von Aretin family.

Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
