About this artwork
A monumental pale rotunda crowns the Michelsberg above Kelheim, its drum ringed by colossal allegorical statues beneath an upper gallery of columns. Commissioned by Ludwig I of Bavaria to honour the German soldiers of the Wars of Liberation against Napoleon, the hall was begun by Friedrich von Gärtner and completed by Leo von Klenze in 1863, standing high over the Danube near its gorge.
Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
