About this artwork
The Henrichenburg Boat Lift at Waltrop, opened in 1899 on the Dortmund-Ems Canal, raised ships 14 metres in its great water-filled trough. Its vast riveted steel framework of lattice pylons and cross-braced portals is now the centrepiece of an industrial museum. The old lift stands beside its modern successor on the flat Westphalian canal landscape.
Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
