About this artwork
Ladenburg, the Roman Lopodunum on the Neckar and one of Germany's oldest towns east of the Rhine, keeps a late-medieval old town of half-timbered lanes around its market square. The Gothic church of St Gallus, built from about 1250 over a Roman basilica, carries two choir towers — the second added in 1412 so the Bishop of Worms, resident here, would have a bishop's two towers; Carl Benz later lived in the town, whose garage is called the world's oldest.
Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
