Saarschleife, Mettlach-Orscholz
From the Cloef viewpoint, the Saar sweeps in its famous horseshoe bend around the densely forested hill at center, the two green river arms framing it left and right; late-morning light glints off the water under a mainly clear sky, forested hills recede into the hazy distance, and wildflowers and a low stone wall mark the viewing ledge in the foreground.
