About this artwork
The abbey church of St Maurice rises over the rooftops of Tholey, the early-Gothic home of one of the oldest Benedictine monasteries in Germany, founded in the seventh century. Monks still live and pray behind its walls, and the church looks out from the town toward the green cone of the Schaumberg.
Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
